A real computer in the cloud,
running in your browser

When you press “Open” we start a full computer in the data centre, stream its screen to you and send back every key and click. Nothing is installed on your device.

What happens behind the click

Three layers, all ours

We build the stream, the computers and the account in-house, so nothing sits between you and your computer.

The computer

A separate Linux container per session with fixed limits: 2 vCPU and 3 GB. It starts clean and ends when you end it.

The stream

The screen is compressed and sent to your browser; your input travels back. Pick Auto, High or Saver quality.

The account

Per-minute balance or a monthly plan, your files in RooF-Drive, and your rooms and classes in one place.

Inside a session

A small toolbar with everything you need

The toolbar floats over the desktop and folds away. On phones it moves to the bottom.

  • On-screen keyboard for phones and tablets
  • Clipboard: paste text from your device into the cloud computer
  • Fullscreen and quality control
  • Files: a RooF-Drive folder inside the computer stays between sessions
  • End the session in one tap and billing stops at once

Classroom

One computer per student, up to 30 seats, a teacher screen wall and a view-only supervisor link.8

Security & isolation

Isolated by design

This is what is built today, not a promise.

One isolated computer per session

Every session runs in its own container with no admin privileges and cannot see other users’ computers.

Web only

A computer reaches the internet through web ports only, never our servers or any internal network.5

Supervisor links are view-only

The server itself drops all input from a supervisor link, so it can never type or control.6

Trials are wiped

A trial session has no file folder, and its container is deleted completely when it ends.

Encrypted connection

All streaming and account traffic runs over HTTPS/TLS.

Transparency

Every number on this page has a source, and anything not built yet is marked “soon”.

Your next computer isn’t at home

A full computer in seconds, with no card and nothing to install.

Sources for these numbers

  1. Internal measurement, 18 Oct 2026: trial session connect time from the browser
  2. Internal 10-minute stream test, 18 Oct 2026: mean 59.95 fps at 1080p
  3. Per-computer limits set by the RooF session orchestrator: 2 virtual CPUs and 3 GB of memory
  4. Desktop hourly price currently charged in RooF accounts
  5. RooF firewall: a computer reaches the web only (ports 80, 443, 53) and no internal network
  6. The RooF server drops every key, mouse move and paste that comes from a supervisor link, even from a modified browser
  7. Room member limit on the RooF server
  8. Classroom seat limit on the RooF server
