From the first click to your own computer

Try RooF without an account, then create one to keep your files. These steps are exactly how it works today.

Try without an account

  1. Press “Try free” on any page.
  2. A Linux computer is prepared in the data centre and opens in your browser within seconds.
  3. The trial runs for 3 minutes, then closes and is wiped completely; nothing is kept.1

Each connection gets 2 trials a day. After that, create an account and use the welcome credit.2

Create an account

  1. Open roof.app/app and choose “Create account”.
  2. Enter your name, email and a password.
  3. A one-time welcome credit of $0.50 is added, enough for 10 desktop hours.3

Open your computer

  1. In the Library pick “Linux desktop” and press “Open”.
  2. You need balance for at least two minutes, or an active plan.4
  3. The desktop appears with a small toolbar on top; billing runs by the minute only while it is on.

End the session

Press “End” in the toolbar and confirm. Billing stops at once and the computer is removed; files in RooF-Drive stay for account holders.

What you need

  • A recent browser on a phone, tablet, computer or smart TV.
  • A steady internet connection; RooF does not work offline.
  • No install, no graphics card, and no account for the trial.
