One toolbar on every screen
Mouse and keyboard work as on any computer. These extra tools help on phones, tablets and TVs.
Toolbar buttons
- Controls
- A small button shown while the toolbar is hidden; press it to bring the toolbar back.
- Keyboard
- Opens your device keyboard on phones and tablets, and also sends Backspace, Enter, Tab and Escape.
- Clipboard
- Paste text to send it to the cloud computer. What you copy inside it reaches your clipboard if the browser allows.
- Quality
- “Auto” balances clarity and speed, “High” for the sharpest text, “Saver” for the least data.
- Fullscreen
- Fills the screen with the desktop; press again to leave.
- Files
- Reminds you where RooF-Drive lives inside the computer.
- End
- Ends the session after a confirmation and stops billing.
The toolbar hides after a few seconds of no use. Move the mouse to the top or bottom edge, or press “Controls”, to show it.
Phones & tablets
- Touch moves the pointer and clicks.
- On phones the toolbar moves to the bottom.
- In portrait RooF suggests rotating; you can dismiss the hint.
TV & arrow navigation
In the RooF app move between cards and buttons with the remote or keyboard arrows ↑ ↓ ← →, then press OK or Enter. Inside a session the arrows go to the desktop.
Gamepads
Not supported inside a session yet. They arrive with gaming computers at launch, and we will say so here.
